SAN VINCENZO

Light and fine sand beaches stretch along a cobalt-colored sea. The pine forest, stretched out over the sea, is thick and shady, full of paths for walking, cycling and horse riding.

San Vincenzo, Municipality that has obtained the coveted environmental certifications EMAS and ISO 14001 and for many years Blue Flag of the European Union, combines the natural beauty of the comforts of a welcoming and hospitable place, which make it a destination for international tourism, where to live, all the year, relaxing and serene vacations.

Inhabited in ancient times, then Etruscan and Roman settlement, today San Vincenzo is a modern and efficient town, rich in accommodation and sports facilities and a well-equipped tourist port.

An intact and protected nature characterizes the Natural Park of Rimigliano, an oasis of flora and fauna located directly on the sea, which invites to beautiful walks in the countryside. Founded in 1973, with an area of about 120 hectares, the Park is one of the most picturesque places on the coast, easily accessible and equipped with all services, ideal for walking, cycling, horseback, in contact with nature.

On the beach, between San Vincenzo and the Gulf of Baratti, the sea lily blooms and the sandy dunes are covered by junipers, myrtle and lentisk; woods of holm oaks and cork oaks and the thick pinewood lining the golden sandy beach.

In the Park live the red squirrel, the moscardino, the wild rabbits, the weasels, the foxes and, among the birds, the pheasants and the tits. Among the branches of the trees you can see the jay and the green woodpecker
